I am a lover of people's first or middle names, especially if those names are uncommon. Maybe this is because my own first name is pretty uncommon: Sidra (which is Latin for "star"---one of many meanings of it by the way). Everytime I come across someone who has an uncommon name I'll often think: "Cool, I wonder why they were named that?" or "It's cool their name is so different." I've just started my own collection of unusually uncommon names. I've become quite obsessed and everytime I hear an unfamiliar sounding name or come across one while reading, I make sure I write it down.
